About the Chennai City

Situated in the east coast, Chennai is the fourth largest of the Indian cities and is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. Chennai is referred as gateway to South India. It is the political and cultural hub of Tamil Nadu. Tamil Nadu is famous for its beach, temples, fabrics, monuments, Carnatic music, classical dances, and food. The Kamaraj Domestic airport and the Anna International Airport are located at Tirusulam, 7 km south of Chennai. The city has a representation of almost all airlines of the world. Many major international airlines have regular flights to Chennai. Domestic airlines operate daily flights to all major cities of the country from the domestic airlines.

About the IIT Madras

Indian Institute of Technology Madras is located in the city of Chennai which is the capital of the state of Tamil Nadu. IIT Madras is situated on Sardar Patel Road and is flanked by Adayar, Taramani and Velachery. The campus is opposite to the Central Leather Research Institute and Anna University. The campus is around 14 km from the Central Railway station. Adayar is the nearest bus terminus to the campus. The institute in itself is located around 2.5 km inside the campus. Two parallel roads, Bonn Avenue and Delhi Avenue, lead you through the residential zone, under a canopy of green, to Gajendra Circle (otherwise called GC) and the administrative block.

ICSC 2026 welcomes you to submit your paper! Online abstract submissions of 500 words or less in English are accepted via our online abstract service.

All costs associated with your participation will be at your expense (travel, housing, and registration fee). Authors may indicate with their abstract if they wish their paper to be considered for publication in a special issue of the “Journal of Thermal Spray and Engineering” as a peer-reviewed paper.
